Dog friendly campsite in the Belgian Ardennes

La Buvette

We have a cosy canteen with a terrace where you can enjoy a snack and a drink. Of course, our menu includes a selection of special beers. You can enjoy the sun on our terrace.

Bohan

Our campsite is a 300-metre walk from the charming tourist village of Bohan. Here you will find a supermarket (Proxy Delhaize), a baker, two butchers and various restaurants and cafés. Bohan is also the starting point for some beautiful walks.

Electricity 

All camping pitches have electricity connection CEE. A maximum of 16A can be used, don't forget to bring a Euro adapter plug. 

Laundry service

At the reception you can get the key for the washing machine and / or the dryer for a fee.

Campfire and barbecuing

What is camping in the Ardennes without a nice campfire and a barbecue? After a relaxing day or a day full of challenging activities, there is nothing better than sitting by the campfire with a drink. The crackling of the wood, the warmth and the cosiness. With us, this is still possible! (unless there is a ban from the municipality due to persistent drought) You are also allowed to make a small fire on the camping pitch (at least 30 cm from the ground). You can hire a fire pit from us (while stocks last). It is forbidden to gather wood on and around the campsite. There is often a campfire on the terrace, so feel free to bring your guitar for a sing-along!

Sanitary

A clean bathroom is our priority. The plumbing is regularly checked and cleaned. The showers, toilets and all other sanitary facilities are separate for women and men. Toilet paper is available in our bathroom.

Waste separation

Camping La Douane demonstrates an eco-responsible attitude, by actively participating in the preservation of the environment and sustainable development. Our campsite is located in a protected natural area that invites everyone to respect the environment, so that Camping La Douane remains a unique place where everyone feels good, close to nature.

This means that we separate the waste, our containers open once a day and you can offer your separated waste.

We have a glass container, a paper and cardboard container, PMD container and a residual waste container. You must dispose of bulky waste yourself.

Internet

At the canteen La Buvette and on the terrace you can use the internet for free with your own laptop, mobile or iPad.

Dog friendly campsite

Dogs are very welcome at our campsite. It is even an ideal place to go with your dog because of the beautiful walks that can be made in the area. Please note that a cleanup obligation applies everywhere in Belgium. You can leave the grounds through the entrance to let your dog do his needs. In the unlikely event that this happens at the campsite, we request that you clean it up. A leash obligation applies to dogs at all times.

Swimming in the Semois river

You can swim in the river here; the water is regularly checked by the competent authorities. If there is a problem, we will of course inform you. Information about this can be found on the information board next to the sanitary building.

Fishing

You can fish in the river Semois, but with a fishing license. There is often checked by the forester. You can apply for a fishing license online
